I noticed that in the revived version of drew's bot, there is a setting that reels fish in based on an approximation of its hp (+/- 500 i believe). Ive been screwing around with it, but I cant seem to be able to get an accurate reading of the fish's hp that I am targeting. I was wondering, if either someone could link me to a page that had the approximate hp's of each fish, or possibly link me/pm me a bot that targets specific fish. I know sean has offered to pm his bot, but I can't say I am an active member so I don't know if he will give it to me. If someone would please assist me with this, I would be grateful unsure.gif

Hopefully one day I will be able to fix shit like this on my own, but until I have a better grasp of the ac-tool language, I turn to this forum for guidance.

Thank you in advance! Looking forward to your replies

thank you very much!

not sure if the source of those was a memloc or datamining but either way is interesting.

Keep in mind though that those values are not the exact value of the fishes hp when it is on the line. Those are most likely the base point from which the actual hp will be within a certain range above or below. Also that range can be larger then 1000hp from what I remeber when I was working out different fishing modes earlier on. I know we made one with a range larger then +/- 500 because that range was not covering the full desired range. Also because ranges overlap we wanted more control over it to specify larger ranges with excluded gaps inside them.

Either way it gives you a base point to decide were to set your range.

bah, DT's bot is working, but it doesnt actually fight the fish one it hooks it....hmm, wierd...
sean1976
check your delays before checking playerstat.
segfault
Just use the fish IDs instead of HP, then you know exactly what you have.
sean1976
yes but keep in mind that ID's can change between rods and I'm pretty sure between zones.
segfault
Yeah, that's why you gotta make your own list first. It's worth it though once you know what to target.
impboy89
lol you are overestimating my ability. i wish i had a bot that would go by fish ID instead of hp. im having a bitch of a time trying to get this thing to work. im lookin through the public macro to see where the problem is, but everything i change has no or minimal affect. i changed the window name that it read, the code for reading window name (which actually helped get it going). but it still wont fight the fish. i might as well just ask, would someone hook me up with a bot that does read by fish ID? perhaps if i had that i could search id's and tailor it to my needs.
sean1976
couple questions, do you have ffxi set to compact keyboard mode?
have you updated the offsets since the recent update by SE?

If the answer to both is yes then try adding more delay after it checks player stat in procedures.

Also most of the changes you would possibly make will be in procedures or mem reads not in the other areas.
impboy89
hmm i just realized that i havnt updated offsets after the update a few days ago. again though, until someone releases those publicly, i wont be able to because i dont know how to find offsets.
