AC Tools Everything Macro > AC Tool Macros > Final Fantasy XI Online
Jakman
I've never used macros outside of FFXI so i wouldnt know how to start up ACTOOLs and run it with FFXI. could someone inform me how it works?

You can start the macro by pressing F2 if Ac Tool is the window that's up...or you can set a global hotkey (Editor->Preferences, Global Hotkeys tab).

Make sure to read the Introduction section in the Ac Tool help...there's also a big list of commands and other stuff in there. The readme.txt (shortcut in Help menu) has some useful info too, which you can use the Edit->Find in notepad to find keywords.

i dont mean to be impolite... but that sounds like its telling him HOW 2 start the macro... but isnt he asking wut 2 type n the macro for it to point 2 ffxi.. so that wen u do press f2... the macro works 4 ffxi? sory but i having the same problem so thout id ask lol

^^ I don't think that's what he's asking, but nonetheless:

You don't point it to ffxi as such - either add a delay in so the user can switch window, use setactivewindow windowname (may be problematic - ffxi window name is not constant), or find an external program that can hook directinput. DTACT springs to mind.

My fault, I get so used to the easy ones tongue.gif. FFXI used to have a modification of Tool called FFACT...I think the author removed it because people were ganking his code or something...so you might have to just use AC Tool version.

All you can do is object checks, keys, and mouse moves if that's the case...at least until you know how to use the memory tools out there and all the other slightly more complicated things. Read around for FFXI..
