I haven't told anybody about this until now, but I'm quitting FFXI, and have decided to tell my tale.
It started when I heard of these "botters" that didn't even have to be near their computer to make gil. I was instantly fascinated by the fact that they could make gil without doing anything, so I tried creating my own fishing bot with a macro creator. From that point on, my entire FFXI career was based on making money for doing nothing.
The macro was a complete failure, so I went on a search for macros created by players with more experience. It wasn't long, before I ran into a FFXI botting community (forums.cameroncole.net). When I learned of a program called ACTool, I was instantly fascinated by the fact that you could write a complicated macro that was able to read pixels, and perform a procedure based on what it read. I got to work, and created my first bot; the Auction House camper + scroller. There were two ways that you could use this script. You could camp a single item with it, bidding a low amount on a single item every [xx] seconds, or use it to bid [xx] gil on every item on the list (which would allow you to get loads of items for a measly 1000 gil each). I started using fishing & NM hunting bots, but quickly got frustrated with the amount of time it took to obtain large amounts of gil. I told my father (He's a computer geek as well) several times, that I'd be the first person to hack FFXI and get as much gil as I wanted at any time.
i dont relly want gill cuz that i hav... n 2 b honest i hav everything i want.. but u always want mor i gess lol so i thout it wuld be relly cool to lern to make hacks myself for fun.. this 1 time i made my own website n html... n like it was so chalenging n it made me think ALOT n wen u fianlly get sometime 2 work how u want its sooo fun... so i think this wud kinda be like that... idk if this is hacking.. or making programs... or w.e it is but i just thout id say that cuz i think il b asking lots of qestions...
i did reed lots of the help thing in AC TOOl.. n i did some xperimenting n stuff but... o n i no HTML... or a little..? dose that meen i no programing? lol but n e ways... my 1st of probly MANY qestions to come is... when i run FFXI... i run it in windower... but how do i like.. make the AC TOOl concentrate on FFXI... i no the name of FFXI changes every bit... so do i make it so the name dont change? do i hav 2? or... do i just type in somthing n run it? i want to make it soo... i gess my 1st scrit ever wud b 2 make my character say "hi"... so like how do i make it wer the AC TOOl wud say hi in ffxi... like i cant just type in Say hi cuz i hav 2 point it 2 ffxi... i hope u get wut im asking.. how do i point AC TOOl 2 the program i want... im sure il get relly anoying with lots of qestions but i promise il try 2 find out myself b 4 i ask here.... ok thanx 4 reading
