it needs a system administrator? are there any ways around it? chrome, firefox, irfanview, 7zip and a bunch of my favorite programs install fine. i'm so sad without ac tool. all other macro programs are either too expensive or work like crap.

the OS is windows XP. yes, the pc is not mine. it belongs to my company. i would love to use ac tool to cut down on my workload

Oh, well in that case I can't help ya because that would be a windows policy set up by your IT department. In Vista/Windows 7 it is even worse.
