I was contacted last night by someone wanting to gamble a bit to level a mule. Work was a bit slow (read that as I did not feel like working) so I coded in the stats tracking I always meant to.
Anyhow it is here for someone to use now, I will test it tonight to make sure nothing is broken in it. If you use it and find an error before I do that, report it here. All I did was add a dataset, two procedures and a few constants, so there should be no problem (now where is that wood, ahh there it is, *knocks on head*)
EDIT. Thought of this on the way home on the bus, but there isno DSedit command before I change the constants in it!!!

ok, tested it out finally and it now works. There was a problem with incrementing within a dataset. I was doing a dataset[field] = dataset[field] + 1. That did not work, instead you need to use inc dataset[field]
that and I changed the color of the report.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but do gambling macros like this one still net a profit or work to level a character?
I've been out of AC for quite some time until recently, I was active in the macro scene until around the magic defense macros then took a break for a while. So I don't really know if it's been nerfed or changed significantly.
Thanks!

no longer profit made gambling.
used to be, with plats as a reward and if you used mnemosynes for arrowheads instead of XP and then fletched arrows, that you could come out ahead, depending on the luck of the draw.
what gambling is good for now is to level characters and get a chance at a golden gromnie for housing, or a pull at the golden chest in the center.

Wow, thanks for the quick reply!
I guess I'll just stick to Olthoi for MMDs, but I'll have to mess with this macro to get my mage some Mnemosynes (I hate leveling low-level mages... hehe).

there are two macros I also made as a "companion" to the gambling macro. There is one that will turn in mnemosynes, and unlock them if you chose, and another to hand in all the other trophy items you gets as a reward.
Made those two, because with a bunch of rewards from gambling, I am lazy enough to have a macro turn them all in as well!!!

is this still functional? Im not looking for one to gain xp but rather to hand the tokens in so I dont have to do it for hours

I put an updated version on the macro vault, version 6, that takes advantage of the new dynamic of not having to split tokens before handing them in. I have been using my gambling macros since I first made them, and they all work.

Hey Vellus,
Just curious. I did mine in Skunkworks. Did you get around to having your turn in the rewards bot actually run around to those locations?
I never updated mine for all the new rewards, though I did unlock mnems and turn them in for XP automatically before I returned to fletching for cash.

nah, never took it that far. Use this macro to gamble, a separate mnemosyne macro to do the mnemosyne part, and the third for the wings, sinews, hearts, etc...
I do not think it would be difficult for me to string them all together, but then if released publically would not be very usefull since people would need to change ties and lifestones to match the macro.
Lifestone on Ayan, and take baishi to the wing collector, then lifstone recall to baishi again and use the ivory crafter in town, the run to uziz and use the collector there.
Cast lifestone recall below the plateau and run up to turn in to theat guy?
Tie to menmosyne collection
Or tie also to Samsur and run to that colelctor?
I just run myself and hand in when I get there...
