hi, thanks for posting your macro!!
is this the best way to make $$ macroing now that spikes have been fixed?
i also see a couple toons at samsur healer clapping away. are they making potions and does that get more profit per clap?
thanks!!

Making Potions of Healing, and making 3 to 4 times the PPC of apple sauce. Applesauce is very useful for low level characters - you can be profitable with a level 1 cook. Potions of Healing are better if you have high enough alchemy/healing skills.
The clappers in Samsur were there months before the spike macros. I used Rithwic. Just about any noob town with an accessible healer generates the same profit.

Ran the macro and it gets stuck in the makepyreals loop, it will jus sit there and continue to say "doing this for 1 through" ect...
Can't figure out why its not moving past this area.
*UPDATE*
I removed the buff section of the macro and it seems to work fine now, perhaps it would be good to have the bot automatically check and turn off settings like "allow other players to give you items". It might also be useful to automatically make a fellowship and to have the bot run /notell to prevent useless chat cluttering. One final idea that I thought would be useful is have the bot write to a text file every time it buys a note and tell how long it was running before it bought the note (or how long since it last bought a note) which would be a nice way to keep track of how fast it works.
Just some ideas I've had.

i'm having the same problem with the mouse trying to select in the wrong spot (like trying to click the buy tabs about a centimeter above where it's supposed to be)
i thought for sure it was a resolution problem, but i've tried every resolution available :/

Sounds like the state of your chat window is not being correctly detected. What if you start the macro with the chat window maximized ?

might have been a well-known fact (known by everyone but me

) but i had to sign out and back in the game for the graphics change to take effect

do people actuallly use these anymore???? salvage macro, and in one hour u can make 100x more than 10 hours with da apples....... Salvage macroing does not have to be in harder dungeons.. but simple ones with good loot.

1... it serves a niche. Low skill required for this one.
2... The minute you get attacked while doing your salvage macro, you are in violation of the CoC for UCM.
3.. put up or shut up, give this ubber macro of yours out to the community

I'll post my Salvagestine macro when I have it 99% working =) I get plenty of time this xmas as I don't have the kids from the 19th till the 26th. I hope to have it running then =) I just hope that I can pull it all together by the 31st.
Who made the macro that did cooking fletching and alchy for exp? And where is it? I can't remember the name of it.

Iron Chef, but it will take some fixing up to get it to work with the ACTool version we have now

Why is it going to have to be revised for the version of ACTools we have now?
Vellus
Dec 15 2003, 04:06 PM
there may be syntax for commands now that were changed or fixed that would not be refelcted in the macro.
there is also a lot of old ways of doing things in the macro, that have been made much simpler and more efficient with newer versions.
so some of the changes may be needed to make it simply work, others are needed to make it work better. I do not use it anymore, I just still have a copy I never deleted, so I cannot say offhand which of those two things apply

I'm sure that its both as I have gone through the code and there is the move to put everything into datasets and I know nothing of those.
What macro provide the best example of them. And explains then well?
Vellus
Dec 16 2003, 03:37 PM
well if you want to stick with my macros, my buffbot macro is where I learned datasets and it uses them a lot, just not sure how well documented it may be for learning. Also my alchemy gem macro uses datasets and my gambling and gambling rewards macros use datasets.
and if it comes down to it PM me or post questions here....

Ok, Just a previous question, how much money in relation are we talking about here? MMD an hr? M an hr? Just curious looking for a "newer" way to make some cash. Thanx Vel for your previous macros always a positive one!

Well I would run it overnight and get 2-4 MMD notes in about 15-20 hours.
I have a potion macro now that makes about 10 in that same time. So again, if you have the skills (300 alchemy and healing at least trained) the potions make more, but all you need is a level 1 cook to make applesauce reliably.
The potion one I posted makes somewhere in between these two (it runs around rithwick and does not use peas from martine's)

I tried this macro recently, and it worked great, till time to buy the notes came. It never went to the comp seller to buy notes, and kept purchasing I notes from food seller. I am not sure how to fix this as I have never tinkered with macros before. Just an end user

Well here is the last version I ever used. It is version 4, so I must have done something since the one near the top of this post!!!
I no longer have an AC subscription at the moment, but this macro worked for me no problems before Christmas.
I ran it in Yaraq.

Hi all, Just tried this one and I had to change line 172 from "Keys {TAB}" to Keys {RETURN} everything else is running just fine with it

can't tell you why you would have needed to do that though. I have 8 total macros that use that set of code and they all work fine.
How was it not working (what kind of error or lack of result) before you changed that?

The most recent version is now in the macro vault. Look at the top of this forum for a link to it.

I got your post here and at Vnboards ty. I got it downloaded and read up on getting it to work. I started it and it gave me a msg about Could not find Decal's memory address itembusyguild in memlocs.xml or something like that. Anyways I went to FAQ forum and saw the explaination for the error and it said to d/l actool 4.5.x. I got the lastest version 4.4.7 d/led, should I delete it and load an earlier version. I don't think I am suppose to so I will wait for your reply.
I am at yaraq and when I press F2 I get this msg

Holy freakin "High Maintenance" batman.
Windows 98 is greater than Windows 95
Decal 2.6.1.0 is greater than Decal 2.6.0.4
ACTool 4.5.x is greater than 4.4.x
Guess which ACTool version you quoted is newer ?

Woot! -- hehe he may be confused about what numbers are higher than what, Ipa, but he's one of the first to actually manage to figure out the FAQ solution to the Memloc location error!
Kudos Nuisu! -- so many who've come here with this error before HAVEN'T been able to accomplish your first step that I *HAD* to congratulate you on doing it the way a person's supposed to.

It's a sad state that someone exhibiting the modicum of cognizance required to
READ the FAQ is such an exception!

I am having a problem with this bit of code
Procedure SellItems
loop 3
MoveAllItemVendor Applesauce, $AppleVendor
end
// Now sell all items
MousePos $MerchBuySellAll_X, $MerchBuySellAll_Y
Delay $Delay_Mouse
LeftClick
waitforcursor
End
when it is done making the applesauce it just stands there and does nothing, it wont give the vender the items.
I have the latest ac tool and decal mem locs I am in Yaraq
