Full Version: skapi.acoChar is null
AC Tools Everything Macro > Other Scripting Tools > Skunkworks
Buddy
I have a char for whom SkunkWorks will not provide skapi.acoChar. The char just hit 141 and has about 2.4 billion unspent XP.

A very simple script works (ie: skapi.acoChar is not null) for other chars on the same computer on the same account.

What can I do to gather/provide more info? A capture file?

Thanks.

Best thing to try first is to log in with DebugView running to see if SkunkWorks is throwing any errors during login.

If it is, you'll probably find that your inventory, equipment, spellbook, etc. aren't tracking properly either.

The only thing on login that seemed amiss was:

[1424] SWFilter: Dropping oversized message (165832 bytes)
[1424] fHooksSafe = True

When I fired up the script, I got this one, but was possibly (probably?) an effect, not a cause:
watchdog!WdUpdateRecoveryState: Recovery enabled.

Do you ever get an OnLogon event for that character? (Use Configure > Diagnostics > Px Events to find out.) 165KB is awfully big for a login message, but I guess it's possible. Try letting your buffs run out and see if that makes a difference.

The watchdog message is not one I recognize. It's probably from some different app altogether, maybe a virus checker or something.

There was a condition (aka "bug") in my script where I would use the Asheron's Benediction and Blackmoor's Favor LOTS of times. So, in about another 20 hours, I should be ok. :-) As each pair drop off, that message block too big message decreases its complaintant block.

That's an awfully small limitation - this is the new millennium, allocate a meg! (If you don't use most of it, it'll never get charged, it'll remain virtual.) :-)

Thanks for the help.
