I know, step 1, uninstall, reinstall... but I dont want to do that just yet... with any luck I'll be doing that after the weekend. I seem to be having a weird issue with Skunkworks logging in with my toons on just 1 server with just 1 account. As I attempt to log in any of my toons on my 2nd account, AC client crashes just as it goes to open the window (windowed mode... due to vid driver on this laptop, I cant go full screen... well, not with Decal running at all that is).

Uncheck skunkworks - login just fine. Choose a different world, login just fine. Choose my main account - login just fine.

Close AC, close console, restart, now I've got about a 2 in 5 chance that I can login just fine.

Weird, any thoughts? It just started happening yesterday, no changes to config.

Actually step 1 would be to fire up DebugView and turn on some diagnostics.

If the crash happens on just one account on just one world, just as you get to the character selection screen, then most likely it has something to do with the character names on that account. Did you create a new character in the last few days? If so, what's the character name? (PM me if you don't want to reveal it publicly.)

Thanks for looking, you are correct, I did create a new toon and the problems started immediately afterwards... interesting, I didnt even think of that as a config change, but it is. The new toon is "Olhu Prime" and was moved into slot 5. I have the problem logging into all of the toons. I've PM'd the debugview log for you, note that I do get OnStart3D() but that it aborts shortly afterwards... before I turned on just about everything for debug I used to just get fHooks()=true and OnStart3D() and then it would crash.

I do get to the character selection screen... just not into the game from there.

Anyway, I'm not sure what the next thing I should provide for you is, or if its really anything.
