I was just trying to do something about all the fishing bots that i have.. and i sort of fixed 30-40% one of them and it's working .. but still have some problems with it ... can anyone please help me with it?

I was changing his code to work for a normal keyboard instead of compact. His code didnt fight the fish at all for my keyboard. I couldnt figure out in his code where it was checking the rod direction but from what you have in your code it clearly shows where it is detecting the rod direction. I am going to try to use some of your code and see if I can get it to work.

oh, I tried to run the code and my program does not recognize $info_Fish_RodLocation. Is that supposed to be something provided by FFACT?
I don't seem to have access to that, I am thinking that I could get the bot to work if I could just recognize the rod positions somehow...

Personally I find FFACT a bit iffy and often screws up. Try switching to DTACT works great for me. As an example I have my script that works fine with DTACT and if I try to run it in conjunction with FFACT it just won't get anywhere.
I'm looking over the code now though, just thought I'd share that with you first xD

And I think that should fix it up, I believe it was reading the correct values (don't know about FFACT) but just wasn't fixed to the correct window.
I do remember having alot of trouble with FFACT and RodLocation...

yeah i have been stuck on the rodlocation all day, I am just about ready to give up, everything in my bot seemed to be working other then that ... so now I think I might try to switch to that DTact. I am looking for a complete xml file with rodlocation in it but can't find it, so that I might try using DTact.

is there a line in ffact that has the rod direction?

My info_fish_rodlocation is always center even though I got the name set for the window via name changer ...

are you able to read other information correctly? If so then the only problem is the offset not the windowname.

If it is just the rod location offset you want i have it and can help you out. Just PM me and don't worry if it takes me a couple days to reply because I am in the middle of doing 4 upper division math courses atm to try and graduate next semester so I'm a little busy.

BTW if you are using the ffxi_info.dat file then I may be wrong but I thought Rzn removed the offset page that ffxi_info.dat reads from so that might be your problem. Check and PM me to let me know if you figure it out.
