When I use the special keys that are listed in the ACTool help they do not do what I want. I am now able to detect the rod position thanks to help from rzn.

So now the bot presses the {num 4} for left and {num 6} for right but instead of reeling in the fish it shifts the camera to the left.

I do not have a compact keyboard.

Basicly it does what the left and right arrow keys do, shift the camera left and right without moving. When I click spacebar to further analyze what is going on it displays a string of 4's and 6's depending on what rod the direction is currently facing. Basicly I can mimic this manualy by enabling num lock on my keyboard. But when numlock is off it continues to do the same thing.

This is extremely frustrating !!!!

Everyone else seems to just press a and d for left and right but I can not do that because I do not have a compact keyboard.

How can I get the stupid thing to press the left and right arrow keys on my num pad and have them function like they do when I manualy reel in fish?!

Thanks ....

laugh.gif lucky for you you're gettin worked up over something that isn't a problem.

You don't need to be using a compact keyboard to use the "a" and "d" method. Just go into config in the main in game menu in ffxi. From there go to "misc 2" I think it is and you'll see about 2/3 of the way down the menu a option for full size or compact keyboard. Select compact. It changes what keys ffxi uses for different things.

For some reason some keys do not like to pass to ffxi correctly. I was fighting trying to get it to register {TAB} or {F8} but had no luck so had to go with a different method. Would be nice if could get arround these partial blocks but I don't suspect there is a practical way short of a ACTools update.

Anyways just change your in game menu to compact and use a and d instead of 4 and 6. I garuntee it works with standard full size 101 keyboards smile.gif
